Barangay Sabang

Situated in Polillo, Quezon, Barangay Sabang is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sabang had a population of 1,785. This made it the 6th largest of 20 barangays in Polillo by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sabang accounted for approximately 5.59% of the total population of Polillo, which stood at 31,908 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sabang moving from 1,673 residents to 1,785 residents, an intercensal change of +6.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sabang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Polillo is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sabang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
