Barangay Lam-Caliaf

Barangay Lam-Caliaf is a small barangay in the municipality of Polomolok, located in the province of South Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lam-Caliaf had a population of 1,718. This made it the 22nd largest of 23 barangays in Polomolok by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lam-Caliaf accounted for approximately 1.00% of the total population of Polomolok, which stood at 172,605 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,388 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,718 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lam-Caliaf as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Polomolok is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lam-Caliaf, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
