Barangay Babo Sacan

Barangay Babo Sacan is a large barangay in the municipality of Porac, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Babo Sacan had a population of 5,916. This made it the 7th largest of 29 barangays in Porac by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Babo Sacan accounted for approximately 4.20% of the total population of Porac, which stood at 140,751 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Babo Sacan changed from 5,434 to 5,916, a shift of +8.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Porac. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Babo Sacan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Porac is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Babo Sacan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Babo Sacan ranks 108th by 2020 population.
