Barangay Malusgod

Situated in Pototan, Iloilo, Barangay Malusgod is one of 50 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malusgod had a population of 2,571. This made it the 6th largest of 50 barangays in Pototan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malusgod accounted for approximately 3.28% of the total population of Pototan, which stood at 78,298 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malusgod moving from 2,694 residents to 2,571 residents, an intercensal change of -4.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Malusgod is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
