Barangay Don Benito

Barangay Don Benito is a small barangay in the municipality of Pozorrubio, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Don Benito had a population of 1,537. This made it the 22nd largest of 34 barangays in Pozorrubio by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Don Benito accounted for approximately 2.06% of the total population of Pozorrubio, which stood at 74,729 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,397 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,537 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Don Benito as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pozorrubio is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Don Benito, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
