Barangay Talisayan

Barangay Talisayan is a small barangay in the municipality of Prieto Diaz, located in the province of Sorsogon, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Talisayan had a population of 1,122. This made it the 7th largest of 23 barangays in Prieto Diaz by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talisayan accounted for approximately 4.95% of the total population of Prieto Diaz, which stood at 22,644 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talisayan moving from 933 residents to 1,122 residents, an intercensal change of +20.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Talisayan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
