Barangay Tupaz

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tupaz is one of the administrative divisions of Prieto Diaz in Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tupaz had a population of 933. This made it the 12th largest of 23 barangays in Prieto Diaz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tupaz accounted for approximately 4.12% of the total population of Prieto Diaz, which stood at 22,644 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tupaz moving from 1,023 residents to 933 residents, an intercensal change of -8.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Tupaz is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
