Barangay Ulag

Barangay Ulag forms part of Prieto Diaz, a municipality in Sorsogon, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ulag had a population of 984. This made it the 11th largest of 23 barangays in Prieto Diaz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ulag accounted for approximately 4.35% of the total population of Prieto Diaz, which stood at 22,644 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ulag moving from 1,050 residents to 984 residents, an intercensal change of -6.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ulag as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
