Barangay Tavora East

Barangay Tavora East is a small barangay in the municipality of Pugo, located in the province of La Union, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tavora East had a population of 767. This made it the 13th largest of 14 barangays in Pugo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tavora East accounted for approximately 3.97% of the total population of Pugo, which stood at 19,337 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tavora East changed from 752 to 767, a shift of +2.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Pugo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tavora East as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pugo is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tavora East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
