Situated in Real, Quezon, Barangay Poblacion 61 is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 5th largest of 17 barangays in Real by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 61 accounted for approximately 6.84% of the total population of Real, which stood at 38,678 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion 61 changed from 2,806 to 2,647, a shift of -5.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Real. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion 61 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
