Barangay Punta Baja

Barangay Punta Baja is a large barangay in the municipality of Rizal, located in the province of Palawan, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Punta Baja had a population of 12,185. This made it the 1st largest of 11 barangays in Rizal by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Punta Baja accounted for approximately 21.70% of the total population of Rizal, which stood at 56,162 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Punta Baja changed from 10,594 to 12,185, a shift of +15.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Rizal. Barangay Punta Baja is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Rizal is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Punta Baja, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
