Barangay Tolon

Situated in Rizal, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Tolon is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tolon had a population of 870. This made it the 5th largest of 22 barangays in Rizal by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tolon accounted for approximately 5.78% of the total population of Rizal, which stood at 15,052 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tolon changed from 776 to 870, a shift of +12.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Rizal. Barangay Tolon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
