Barangay Supang

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Supang is one of the administrative divisions of Sabangan in Mountain Province, CAR, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Supang had a population of 587. This made it the 10th largest of 15 barangays in Sabangan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Supang accounted for approximately 6.10% of the total population of Sabangan, which stood at 9,621 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Supang moving from 558 residents to 587 residents, an intercensal change of +5.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Supang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sabangan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Supang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
