Barangay Dagdag (Pob.)

Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Sagada, located in the province of Mountain Province, in the CAR region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) had a population of 806. This made it the 6th largest of 19 barangays in Sagada by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) accounted for approximately 7.00% of the total population of Sagada, which stood at 11,510 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) changed from 731 to 806, a shift of +10.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sagada. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sagada is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dagdag (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Mountain Province, which contains 144 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) ranks 72nd by 2020 population. Mountain Province is classified as a 4th by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

Barangay Dagdag (Pob.) is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
