Barangay Ampenican

Barangay Ampenican is a small barangay in the municipality of Salay, located in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ampenican had a population of 1,071. This made it the 10th largest of 18 barangays in Salay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ampenican accounted for approximately 3.57% of the total population of Salay, which stood at 29,998 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ampenican moving from 1,182 residents to 1,071 residents, an intercensal change of -9.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
