Barangay Ili-ilihon

Barangay Ili-ilihon is a small barangay in the municipality of Salay, located in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ili-ilihon had a population of 1,094. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in Salay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ili-ilihon accounted for approximately 3.65% of the total population of Salay, which stood at 29,998 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ili-ilihon moving from 1,165 residents to 1,094 residents, an intercensal change of -6.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Ili-ilihon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
