Barangay Caldong

Situated in Sampaloc, Quezon, Barangay Caldong is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Caldong had a population of 279. This made it the 10th largest of 14 barangays in Sampaloc by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caldong accounted for approximately 2.05% of the total population of Sampaloc, which stood at 13,629 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Caldong changed from 158 to 279, a shift of +76.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sampaloc. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Caldong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sampaloc is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caldong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
