Barangay Ilayang Owain

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Ilayang Owain is one of the administrative divisions of Sampaloc in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ilayang Owain had a population of 1,950. This made it the 2nd largest of 14 barangays in Sampaloc by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ilayang Owain accounted for approximately 14.31% of the total population of Sampaloc, which stood at 13,629 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ilayang Owain changed from 2,115 to 1,950, a shift of -7.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Sampaloc. Barangay Ilayang Owain is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
