Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion is a large barangay in the municipality of San Enrique, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 7,315. This made it the 1st largest of 10 barangays in San Enrique by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 30.26% of the total population of San Enrique, which stood at 24,177 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 7,181 residents to 7,315 residents, an intercensal change of +1.9%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
