Barangay San Nicolas

Barangay San Nicolas is a small barangay in the municipality of San Esteban, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Nicolas had a population of 1,073. This made it the 2nd largest of 10 barangays in San Esteban by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Nicolas accounted for approximately 12.80% of the total population of San Esteban, which stood at 8,381 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Nicolas changed from 945 to 1,073, a shift of +13.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Esteban.
