Barangay Lekep-Butao

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Lekep-Butao is one of the administrative divisions of San Fabian in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lekep-Butao had a population of 2,761. This made it the 15th largest of 34 barangays in San Fabian by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lekep-Butao accounted for approximately 3.16% of the total population of San Fabian, which stood at 87,428 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,796 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,761 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.3%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lekep-Butao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
