Barangay Agtiwa

Situated in San Fernando, Romblon, Barangay Agtiwa is one of 12 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Agtiwa had a population of 1,327. This made it the 11th largest of 12 barangays in San Fernando by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agtiwa accounted for approximately 5.49% of the total population of San Fernando, which stood at 24,171 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Agtiwa moving from 1,397 residents to 1,327 residents, an intercensal change of -5.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Agtiwa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
