Barangay Napantao

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Napantao is one of the administrative divisions of San Francisco in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Napantao had a population of 984. This made it the 4th largest of 22 barangays in San Francisco by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Napantao accounted for approximately 7.32% of the total population of San Francisco, which stood at 13,436 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Napantao moving from 982 residents to 984 residents, an intercensal change of +0.2%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Napantao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
