Barangay San Roque

Barangay San Roque is a small barangay in the municipality of San Jacinto, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Roque had a population of 1,695. This made it the 13th largest of 19 barangays in San Jacinto by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Roque accounted for approximately 3.82% of the total population of San Jacinto, which stood at 44,351 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Roque moving from 1,792 residents to 1,695 residents, an intercensal change of -5.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay San Roque is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jacinto is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Roque, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
