Barangay Bolbogan

Barangay Bolbogan is a very small barangay in the municipality of San Joaquin, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bolbogan had a population of 430. This made it the 48th largest of 85 barangays in San Joaquin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bolbogan accounted for approximately 0.82% of the total population of San Joaquin, which stood at 52,617 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bolbogan moving from 380 residents to 430 residents, an intercensal change of +13.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bolbogan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
