Barangay Blanca Aurora

Situated in San Jorge, Samar, Barangay Blanca Aurora is one of 41 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Blanca Aurora had a population of 975. This made it the 1st largest of 41 barangays in San Jorge by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Blanca Aurora accounted for approximately 5.55% of the total population of San Jorge, which stood at 17,579 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 853 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 975 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Blanca Aurora as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jorge is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Blanca Aurora, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
