Barangay Inasakan

Situated in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, Barangay Inasakan is one of 39 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Inasakan had a population of 712. This made it the 33rd largest of 39 barangays in San Jose by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Inasakan accounted for approximately 0.46% of the total population of San Jose, which stood at 153,267 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Inasakan changed from 625 to 712, a shift of +13.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Jose. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Inasakan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
