Barangay San Lorenzo

Situated in San Jose, Northern Samar, Barangay San Lorenzo is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Lorenzo had a population of 803. This made it the 11th largest of 16 barangays in San Jose by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Lorenzo accounted for approximately 4.55% of the total population of San Jose, which stood at 17,641 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Lorenzo changed from 729 to 803, a shift of +10.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Jose. Barangay San Lorenzo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jose is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Lorenzo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
