Barangay Bagong Sikat

Barangay Bagong Sikat is a mid-sized barangay in the city of San Jose City, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagong Sikat had a population of 2,270. This made it the 21st largest of 38 barangays in San Jose City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Bagong Sikat accounted for approximately 1.50% of the total population of San Jose City, which stood at 150,917 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagong Sikat moving from 2,215 residents to 2,270 residents, an intercensal change of +2.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagong Sikat as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
