Barangay No. 6 Poblacion

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay No. 6 Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of San Julian in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay No. 6 Poblacion had a population of 870. This made it the 9th largest of 16 barangays in San Julian by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay No. 6 Poblacion accounted for approximately 5.88% of the total population of San Julian, which stood at 14,800 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 861 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 870 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.0%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay No. 6 Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Julian is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay No. 6 Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Eastern Samar, which contains 597 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay No. 6 Poblacion ranks 193rd by 2020 population.
