Barangay Anislagan

Barangay Anislagan is a small barangay in the municipality of San Luis, located in the province of Agusan Del Sur, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Anislagan had a population of 1,704. This made it the 9th largest of 25 barangays in San Luis by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anislagan accounted for approximately 4.84% of the total population of San Luis, which stood at 35,196 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Anislagan moving from 1,998 residents to 1,704 residents, an intercensal change of -14.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Anislagan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
