Barangay Culi

Situated in San Luis, Agusan Del Sur, Barangay Culi is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Culi had a population of 1,142. This made it the 14th largest of 25 barangays in San Luis by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Culi accounted for approximately 3.24% of the total population of San Luis, which stood at 35,196 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Culi changed from 1,008 to 1,142, a shift of +13.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Luis. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Culi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Luis is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Culi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
