Barangay Santa Monica

Situated in San Luis, Pampanga, Barangay Santa Monica is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Monica had a population of 3,207. This made it the 7th largest of 17 barangays in San Luis by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Monica accounted for approximately 5.48% of the total population of San Luis, which stood at 58,551 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Monica changed from 2,887 to 3,207, a shift of +11.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Luis. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Monica as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Luis is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Monica, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
