Barangay Rabanes

Situated in San Marcelino, Zambales, Barangay Rabanes is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

This made it the 5th largest of 18 barangays in San Marcelino by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rabanes accounted for approximately 6.94% of the total population of San Marcelino, which stood at 37,719 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Rabanes moving from 2,035 residents to 2,618 residents, an intercensal change of +28.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Rabanes as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
