Barangay Mataas Na Lupa

Barangay Mataas Na Lupa is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of San Pascual, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mataas Na Lupa had a population of 2,277. This made it the 8th largest of 29 barangays in San Pascual by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mataas Na Lupa accounted for approximately 3.30% of the total population of San Pascual, which stood at 69,009 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mataas Na Lupa changed from 2,092 to 2,277, a shift of +8.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Pascual. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mataas Na Lupa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Pascual is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mataas Na Lupa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
