Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Bagumbayan is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Cruz in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagumbayan had a population of 13,364. This made it the 1st largest of 26 barangays in Santa Cruz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagumbayan accounted for approximately 10.81% of the total population of Santa Cruz, which stood at 123,574 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagumbayan moving from 11,251 residents to 13,364 residents, an intercensal change of +18.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagumbayan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Santa Cruz is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagumbayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bagumbayan ranks 61st by 2020 population.
