Situated in Santa Cruz, Laguna, Barangay Labuin is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 11th largest of 26 barangays in Santa Cruz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Labuin accounted for approximately 3.71% of the total population of Santa Cruz, which stood at 123,574 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Labuin moving from 4,741 residents to 4,588 residents, an intercensal change of -3.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Labuin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
