Barangay Masaguisi

Barangay Masaguisi forms part of Santa Cruz, a municipality in Marinduque, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Masaguisi had a population of 1,374. This made it the 13th largest of 55 barangays in Santa Cruz by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masaguisi accounted for approximately 2.51% of the total population of Santa Cruz, which stood at 54,692 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Masaguisi moving from 1,411 residents to 1,374 residents, an intercensal change of -2.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Masaguisi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
