Barangay Patag Ibaba

Barangay Patag Ibaba is a small barangay in the municipality of Santa Elena, located in the province of Camarines Norte, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Patag Ibaba had a population of 646. This made it the 16th largest of 19 barangays in Santa Elena by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Patag Ibaba accounted for approximately 1.48% of the total population of Santa Elena, which stood at 43,582 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Patag Ibaba changed from 534 to 646, a shift of +21.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santa Elena. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Patag Ibaba as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Elena is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Patag Ibaba, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
