Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Santa Fe, Romblon, Barangay Poblacion is one of 11 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 2,555. This made it the 1st largest of 11 barangays in Santa Fe by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 14.35% of the total population of Santa Fe, which stood at 17,802 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 2,342 residents to 2,555 residents, an intercensal change of +9.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Poblacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Fe is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Romblon, which contains 219 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion ranks 20th by 2020 population.
