Barangay Pooc

Barangay Pooc is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Santa Fe, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pooc had a population of 3,423. This made it the 5th largest of 10 barangays in Santa Fe by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pooc accounted for approximately 9.93% of the total population of Santa Fe, which stood at 34,471 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pooc moving from 3,280 residents to 3,423 residents, an intercensal change of +4.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pooc as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
