Barangay Mozzozzin Sur

Barangay Mozzozzin Sur is a small barangay in the municipality of Santa Maria, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mozzozzin Sur had a population of 1,925. This made it the 3rd largest of 20 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mozzozzin Sur accounted for approximately 7.47% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 25,758 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,721 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,925 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Mozzozzin Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Maria is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mozzozzin Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
