Barangay III (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay III (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Maria in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay III (Pob.) had a population of 812. This made it the 19th largest of 25 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay III (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.35% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 34,511 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 855 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 812 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay III (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Maria is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay III (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
