Barangay Baballasioan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Baballasioan is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Maria in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Baballasioan had a population of 706. This made it the 20th largest of 33 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baballasioan accounted for approximately 2.35% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 30,006 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Baballasioan changed from 769 to 706, a shift of -8.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Santa Maria. Barangay Baballasioan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
