Barangay Baliw Daya

Barangay Baliw Daya is a small barangay in the municipality of Santa Maria, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baliw Daya had a population of 500. This made it the 28th largest of 33 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baliw Daya accounted for approximately 1.67% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 30,006 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Baliw Daya moving from 456 residents to 500 residents, an intercensal change of +9.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baliw Daya as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
