Barangay Aslum

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Aslum is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Rita in Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Aslum had a population of 1,363. This made it the 13th largest of 38 barangays in Santa Rita by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Aslum accounted for approximately 3.22% of the total population of Santa Rita, which stood at 42,384 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Aslum moving from 1,324 residents to 1,363 residents, an intercensal change of +2.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Aslum is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Rita is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Aslum, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
