Barangay San Basilio

Barangay San Basilio is a large barangay in the municipality of Santa Rita, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Basilio had a population of 11,823. This made it the 1st largest of 10 barangays in Santa Rita by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Basilio accounted for approximately 24.52% of the total population of Santa Rita, which stood at 48,209 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Basilio moving from 8,407 residents to 11,823 residents, an intercensal change of +40.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Basilio as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Santa Rita is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Basilio, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
