Barangay Padu Chico

Barangay Padu Chico is a small barangay in the municipality of Santo Domingo, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Padu Chico had a population of 993. This made it the 12th largest of 36 barangays in Santo Domingo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Padu Chico accounted for approximately 3.42% of the total population of Santo Domingo, which stood at 29,041 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Padu Chico moving from 1,032 residents to 993 residents, an intercensal change of -3.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
