Barangay Panay

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Panay is one of the administrative divisions of Santo Domingo in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Panay had a population of 230. This made it the 36th largest of 36 barangays in Santo Domingo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panay accounted for approximately 0.79% of the total population of Santo Domingo, which stood at 29,041 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Panay moving from 178 residents to 230 residents, an intercensal change of +29.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Panay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
