Barangay Namboongan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Namboongan is one of the administrative divisions of Santo Tomas in La Union, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Namboongan had a population of 2,464. This made it the 4th largest of 24 barangays in Santo Tomas by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Namboongan accounted for approximately 6.03% of the total population of Santo Tomas, which stood at 40,846 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Namboongan moving from 2,480 residents to 2,464 residents, an intercensal change of -0.6%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Namboongan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
